About Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute
The Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) is a hospital and
research center for cancer care in Guwahati, India. It is a grants-in-aid
institute in aid of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India,
and a unit of the Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai. BBCI is a Regional Cancer
Center recognized by the Government of India.
BBCI was created by a voluntary organization called the Dr. B. Borooah
Cancer Society Trust. Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (September 4, 1893 -
September 25, 1956) was a great doctor, freedom fighter, and
philanthropist from Assam. In 1958, at a public meeting in Guwahati, a
decision was made to establish a cancer hospital in Guwahati to
commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah. The late Debendra Nath
Sarma was the founding president and the late Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah,
illustrious brother of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah, was the founding
secretary. The late Bimala Prasad Chaliha, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury,
Bishnuram Medhi, Dr. Ghanashyam Das, Dr. Birendra Nath Choudhury and many
others worked tirelessly for the development of the Institute from its
inception.

Age Limit: Below 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation Degree from a recognized university .
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience
in the health sector as hospitals, diagnostic labs, etc.

Only those candidates qualified in the MCQ Test/Written Exam will be called for appearing in the Skill Test & Interview on the given date & time. General Conditions
1. Selected Secretarial Assistant will have to deposit Rs. 12,000 /-
(Rupees Twelve Thousand Only) as Security Deposit, OR will be deducted from
the salary in equal installment which will be refunded after successful
completion of tebure.
2. Experience shall count from the date of completion of minimum educational
qualification.
3. Candidates employed in Govt. Service/Semi Govt. Autonomous Bodies of
State/Central Govt. should submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their
employer at the time of interview.
4. Submission of incorrect or false information shall disqualify the
candidature at any stage.
5. No benefits will be considered, since posts are purely on temporary
basis.
6. The number of posts mentioned in the advertisement is estimated only,
which may vary at the time of recruitment by the management of the
institution.
7. The candidates must reach the venue of MCQ Test/Written Exam/Interview at
least half an hour prior to commencement of the Test/Interview.
8. The selection of candidates will be based on the performance in the MCQ
Test/Written Exam/Skill Test and Viva voce Interview.
9. The decision of the institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a
candidate will be final.
10. The above post will be filled purely on temporary basis.
11. Selected candidate/appointee will not have any claim for permanent
appointment at BBCI.
