Eligibility Criteria of Directorate of Land Records & Surveys Recruitment

Educational Qualification:

1. Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University having two years Certificate course from ITI in Drawing, Drafting/ Mapping, AutoCAD training in Mapping/Drawing.

2. GIS, GPS, DGPS & ETS Training completion Certificate from ISO Certified Agency.

3. Diploma course in Computer Application.

Experience: Applicant having minimum three years faculty experience from Govt. training Institute in GIS, GPS, DGPS & ETS will be given preference.

Skills: Applicant must possess good communication skill in English, Assamese and Bengali fluently.

CITIZENSHIP: Candidates must be a citizen of India as defined under Article 5 to 9 of the Constitution of India.

PERIOD OF ENGAGEMENT


1. The engagement will be purely on temporary contractual basis and ASSTC related only.

2. Initially this engagement will be for 1 (One) year based on performance and requirement of the mission, contract may be further extended.

About Directorate Of Land Records & Surveys


The Directorate of Land Records and Studies, etc., Assam is one of the oldest Directorates in Assam established in 1887 as the Directorate of Land and Agriculture Records with Mr. Henry Zouch Derrah, IACS as the first Director.

The office of the Directorate of Land Records and Studies, etc., Assam is currently housed in its own building "Rajah Bhawan" in Rupnagar, Guwahati-32, since 1998. Apart from Rupnagar, the office of the Director of Records and Studies of Lands etc., Assam operates from 3 (three) other different locations such as Vendyking Section in Beltola, Survey & Printing Section in Dakhingaon and khamal in Santipur.

The Directorate of Land Records and Surveys, etc. Assam handles Land Records and Surveys as the head of the department. The Directorate is primarily responsible for the preservation and maintenance of the inspection, demarcation and construction of the international border pillars with the help and advice of the Government of India, also for the maintenance of the borders between the states, the borders between the districts and finally for the cadastral survey of all the villages of North Carolina. It also deals with the maintenance of landowners' rights records and conducting the resettlement operation in accordance with the provision of ALRR, 1886.

The DLR is in charge of maintaining and updating the State's land records through the Circle Office under the Deputy Commissioner / Branch offices.

The DLR as Director of Studies is responsible for the periodic survey of the land (a) Resettlement operation (b) Survey of North Carolina land (c) Printing and selling of maps (d) Supply of printed maps and survey of Char (f) Settlement / Resettlement operation.

The DLR is the Inspector General of Registration by trade at the state level. At the district level, the respective deputy commissioner acts as the district's record officer.

As Superintendent of DLR Stamps, Assam is responsible for the regulation and distribution of Non-Postage Stamps in the State. He oversees the earning of income through the sale of stamps.
The DLR, Assam also works as the Registrar General of Marriages and Wakf Property Commissioner.
