An official notification has been released by the North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, Assam. It's to notify that admission is open for Skill Development Training Program to be conducted by CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat. CSIR NEIST is going to run this program for a duration of 3 Months.

About CSIR-NEIST
North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat, Assam, an
integral part of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New
Delhi, has participated in interdisciplinary research and development work
related to the country in general and specially the Northeast region.
About the Skill Development Training Program
"CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative" is a national skills
development program initiated by the Council of Scientific and Industrial
Research (CSIR) that leverages the expertise and infrastructure of
individual laboratories across the country. As part of this initiative,
CSIR-NEIST, the only CSIR research and development laboratory active in
the NER, proposes the organization of the following training program.

Eligibility Criteria of NEIST Jorhat Skill Development Program
Age Limit: 38 years (Relaxation as per govt. norms)
Educational Qualification:
Basic training: Min. qualification is class eight passed for all the courses with the
exception as following:
- For Assistant Electrician, minimum qualification is class 10th passed.
- For 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD, minimum qualification is class 10th passed / ITI passed / diploma passed.
- For weaving trade woman candidates will be preferred.
Advanced training:
- CNC: ITI passed as machinist/ turner, diploma in mechanical or allied subject.
- Adv. welding: ITI passed for welding, diploma in mechanical or allied subject.
- AI-ML: Must have Bachelor’s degree in any Science or Engineering discipline & the course will be in online mode.

Candidates who are interested in building their Assam career and
eligible for the Skill Development Training Program to be conducted by CSIR
NEIST can apply by following the steps given below.
1) Candidates should apply online or offline in the application format
(Given Below) through E-Mail: skillneist2021@gmail.com.
2) Subject of the E-Mail should be: "Application for Skill Development Training” with trade for which applied.
3) Separate application form to be submitted if applied for more than one
course.
4) The candidate must have to provide a valid mobile number for
communication related to the training program.
