Eligibility Criteria for This Job in Assam
Educational Qualification: Minimum ITI pass in Refrigeration trade/ Electrical trade/ Fitter trade.
Experience: 2-3 year’s work experience preferably in ammonia-based refrigeration
system/2-3 year’s work experience in dairy or food industries or any
processing related industries. Freshers having qualification in relevant
field may also apply.
SALARY
Gross CTC Rs.3.3 lakhs per annum including P.F & other Contributions. (Negotiable and
commensurate with qualification & experience).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance
requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing
equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling,
electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).
b) Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards, maintain
a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
c) Assemble fittings, valves, bowls, plates, disks, impeller shaft, and other parts to
equipment with tools etc. to prepare for operation in relevant section.
d) Perform work duties in accordance with WAMUL’s standard policies and procedures.
e) Follow/maintain safety norms.
f) Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to
reporting officer.
g) Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve
processes.
h) Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
i) Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Group Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Skills/ Attributes:
Technical
a) Experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility,
preferably food and dairy industry.
b) Technical Experience: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic,
electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and HVAC/
Refrigeration System.
c) Must be able to work in a wet environment with moderate to high
noise volume.
d) Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends
and holidays.
e) Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

Educational Qualification: 03 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical
Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 3 years operation and maintenance experience in manufacturing industry. (Preferably in Dairy/Food Industry).
SALARY
Gross CTC Rs.3.8 lakhs per annum including P.F & other Contributions. (Negotiable and
commensurate with qualification & experience).
Main Responsibility
1. Operation and maintenance of utilities viz. Refrigeration plant, Cold Stores, Deep freeze, Boiler section,
Electrical sub-station with HT/ LT panels, DG Sets, Water supply and distribution including softening plant,
Effluent Treatment Plant.
2. Work in close coordination with production team to provide support for maintenance of all dairy equipment
and supervision and documentation of product volume.
3. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
4. Ensure industrial safety norms.
5. To monitor sanitary and hygienic condition of all plant areas.
6. Preparation, verification of daily reports for Utilities.
7. Monitor and control of energy consumption (fuel, electrical power).
8. Suggest and implement ways to improve energy efficiency.
9. Inventory level maintenance for spare parts and consumables and ensure timely indenting of materials.
Additional/ Occasional Responsibilities (listed in order of priority)
1. Liaising with Statutory Authorities including Factory Inspector, Boiler Inspector, Electrical Inspector and
Pollution Control Board.
2. Installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment.
3. Quality system implementation.

Experience: Preferably 3 years’ experience at any dairy plant.
SALARY
Gross CTC Rs. 6.64 lakhs per annum including P.F & other Contributions.
(Negotiable and commensurate with qualification & experience).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To lead the team for smooth operation of machines as well as maintaining and improving
quality of milk and milk products.
2. To monitor sanitary and hygienic condition of Plant Preparation, verification
of daily reports.
3. Monitoring and control of milk solids losses on daily basis and preparation of material
balancing reports.
4. Achieving efficiency in terms of energy consumption as well as lower milk solid losses.
5. Monitoring of Plant consumables and assets and ensure timely indenting of
materials.
6. Coordination with procurement group for timely arrival of milk vehicles, quality of milk
received from the milk producers on daily basis.
7. Coordination with marketing Group for timely dispatch, indenting and quality
monitoring of market milk.
8. Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive maintenance to ensure smooth
operation of all dairy equipment and at times attend immediate maintenance of
machine(s).
ADDITIONAL/ OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Arrange for installation and commissioning of new equipment.
2. Quality system implementation.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Skills/Attributes (Technical): Thorough knowledge on milk and milk products, the relevant Indian
standards and their production processes, quality norms & standards,
FSSAI regulations and testing procedures. Hands on knowledge on all
dairy equipment (Pasteurizer, homogenizer, packing/filling machines,
pumps, pneumatic & manual valves etc.). Exposure to digital and
analog instrumentation.
Skills/Attributes (Managerial): Knowledge on Food Safety Management System and Manpower
Management
Training: Desirable - Practical training on GMP & GHP.
Period of Engagement
The engagement will be on purely temporary basis and will be for 2 Years.
